Past Activities

Fall Opening Social - September 2016
- We met on the lawn of the Maeser Building and had a puppy themed social. We at pizza and other treats, had muddy buddies in dog bowls, and got to socialize with other members. Each table organized into teams and we had trivia to find the smartest group out there. The winners received toy puppies. There were lawn games and other fun activities.
Winter Opening Social - January 2017
- Members congregated at the Wilkinson Center to have hot chocolate and design their own smores, using many different types of cookies, candy bars, and marshmellows. We also had an intense interdisciplinary competition where teams strove to show their all around knowledge of a variety of topics. Phi Kappa Phi T-shirts were given out to members.
Strangers No More: Refugee Project - November 2016
- 200 students and community members gathered in the Wilkinson Center to provide service to refugees and others in the world. They created 50 hygiene kits, painted 400 toy cars, and wrote about 200 welcome letters to refugees. It was an amazing outpouring of love from many members who wanted to serve those in need.
Professional Development
Networking Round Table - October 2016
- Phi Kappa Phi members had a roundtable networking event, where they discussed their goals to the rest of the group, and if a member had a connection or a way to help in those goals, they shared contact information and worked together after to help that goal become a reality.
